The MMA Fan Podcast has partnered up with GamCare to further promote gambling addiction awareness. Blake Harrison – best known for his acting role as ‘Neil’ in the Inbetweeners – is a Co-Host on the podcast.

Harrison Co-Hosts The MMA Fan Podcast with friend and fellow MMA fan Stu Whiffen. The actor took to Twitter to reveal that the podcast has been approached by gambling companies but he declined. He stated that this would not feel right, due to knowing people who have suffered from gambling harm.

Gamcare provides a 24/7 helpline for anybody suffering from gambling-related harm. The charity also helps to provide free one-to-one face-to-face counseling sessions for eight weeks with a therapist, as well as offering group-based gambling recovery courses that are available from six to eight weeks; and other resources.

Co-Host of The MMA Fan Podcast, Harrison, spoke of the partnership: “I have seen a lot of the negative side effects of gambling and gambling addictions. A lot of people don’t think that they have a problem when actually they do. I think this charity does a lot of great work.”

The MMA Fan Podcast stated in a tweet: “We are pleased to announce we’ve partnered with GamCare who are a fantastic charity helping people with gambling addictions & friends & family affected by gambling. We talk about why we did this & the great work they do.”

Harrison tweeted: “We’ve had sponsorship interest from betting sites recently but for our own reasons Stu Whiffen & I didn’t feel comfortable with it. Instead, we’ve partnered with a fantastic charity GamCare. Check out details on the great work they do in the tweet below. Don’t suffer in silence.”
