Patrick Kortman has been appointed as Interim CFO of Kindred Group, beginning the role as of 21 June.

Kortman has been at Kindred Group since 2018, serving in the role of Head of Corporate Development. Then in 2021, Kortman’s title was extended to Head of Corporate Development & Investor Relations.

Kortman takes over from Johan Wilsby, who announced he was leaving the role of CFO in May this year.

Prior to working at Kindred, Kortman held senior positions at Nordea and Ratos.

Further interim appointments have been made across Kindred following several regulations earlier this year. Henrik Tjärnstrom resigned as CEO in May, with Nils Andén taking on the role as interim CEO. In addition to this, CMO Elen Barber and CCO Anne-Jaap Snijders announced resignations from their roles in the same month.

Usha Ganesan will assume the role of Interim Chief Finance Operations Officer and Neil Banbury will assume the role of Interim Chief Commercial & Marketing Officer. Kindred has said that all appointments will remain ‘interim’ until its strategic review is concluded

Andén said: “I am very pleased that Patrick has agreed to take on the role of Interim CFO at Kindred. Patrick knows Kindred very well and has a vast experience in the financial sector and he will continue to bring great value to Kindred’s financial operations, to the wider Executive Team and to the Board as we continue to focus on the strategic review.

“I am delighted that we can maintain momentum and consistency across the company during this period, thanks to our excellent senior leaders and strong employee base.”
