Since the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission (GSC) has rigorous testing and strict standards in AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and player protections, Kwiff’s licence renewal opens important opportunities for international traffic in emerging markets.
The Isle of Man is known for its approach to regulation.
Kwiff CEO, Charles Lee, said: “We’re pleased to renew our Isle of Man B2C licence, which demonstrates we adhere to the highest possible industry standards. The business has a rock-solid foundation in place to ensure we’re well placed to deliver on the next growth stage.”
Kwiff is a sports betting product that encourages bettors to “follow their instincts” and allows them to supercharge any placed bet, regardless of sport, odds or stake. Supercharging a bet consists of boosting the odds; it goes for any bet size, single or accumulator at random.
The company was founded in 2015 by Unibet Founder Anders Ström and Co-Founder Karl Engström; the betting site is currently operated by Kwiff Limited.
Initially, the service was launched as a solely mobile application with a “completely new concept for predicting customer behaviour”.
Based in Malta, Kwiff holds licences under the Gambling Commission, the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission and Ireland, and its mobile sports betting app is available on both iOS and Android.
