SkyCity Entertainment Group CEO Jason Walbridge has commenced his duties in charge of the New Zealand operator..
Walbridge, who was appointed in April this year, has begun in the role, while Julian Cook, SkyCity’s Board Chair, will become an independent director and cease his executive role moving forward.
Callum Mellet, previously Interim CEO, will resume his role as Skycity New Zealand’s COO.
Brad Burnett, Interim COO New Zealand, will take up the new role as General Manager of Gaming Auckland, leaving his former position.
In addition, SkyCity has also announced the appointment of Peter Fredricson as the group’s new CFO, subject to all necessary regulatory approval.
Fredricson will join SkyCity on 5 August 2024; he will work with current CFO Julie Amey through the handover until Amey’s resignation in September 2024.
Fredricson’s 25 years of experience in sectors across Asia and Australasia include finance service and investment banking, listed energy and infrastructure. He was the previous CFO of AMP Ltd; CEO and CFO of ASX-listed Oil Search Ltd; CFO of Vector Ltd; and CFO of APA Group.
New CEO Walbridge said: “I am pleased to have someone of Peter’s calibre and experience joining the SkyCity team. Peter will play an important role in delivering the company’s strategic plan.”
