After a number of seasons with LAFC dominating the City of Angels in terms of football, this 2024 campaign, it’s supporters of LA Galaxy who are walking around with their heads held high as the side remains only one of the three teams in both conferences yet to taste defeat in the new campaign.

With last year’s El Trafico being staged at the Pasadena Rose Bowl on 4 July, it’s back to home turf for the Black & Gold as they welcome the Galaxy to BMO Stadium and look to kick-start their lackluster start to the season with a win over their city rivals.

In terms of history, in their previous 21 meetings (since LAFC joined the league in 2018), LA Galaxy have come out on top nine times, with LAFC picking up seven wins. In 2023 the two teams met four times, winning two games apiece with a fierce level of competition and rivalry having being developed in the six years since the city boasted two MLS clubs.
