Fun88 has welcomed Dale Steyn, former South African Cricket Team bowler, as its new Official Global Ambassador for the company’s third anniversary.
Steyn will join the team, where he will be featured in marketing materials and other projects from Fun88.
Widely considered as one of the greatest fast bowlers in the sport, Steyn represented South Africa in a variety of tours, from 2004 until his eventual retirement in 2021.
A Spokesperson from Fun88, said: “We are delighted to welcome Dale Steyn to the Fun88 family as our esteemed Brand Ambassador.
“Dale’s exceptional talent, perseverance and passion for the game mirror the qualities that drive us to excel in the competitive world of online gaming.”
Since retiring from professional cricket, Steyn has continued in the industry as a bowling coach.
He was initially appointed as the fast bowling coach for Sunrisers Hyderabad, an Indian Premier League, in December 2021.
Earlier this year, in May 2023, he was confirmed as the bowling coach of Washington Freedom, one of the six inaugural teams to play in the Major League Cricket (MLC).
On his appointment, Steyn said: “It is an honour to be associated with Fun88, a brand that resonates with millions of fans worldwide.
“I have always been a strong believer in pushing boundaries, and I see that spirit reflected in Fun88’s commitment to delivering top-notch gaming entertainment.
“I look forward to working closely with the Fun88 team to engage with fans and make this collaboration a memorable one.”
It seems like the operator is trying to make its mark on the sports world this summer, as Fun88 also became the official sports betting partner of Newcastle United.
