The deal is the first time the operator has been named the title sponsor of a so called first-class football league, which is the top level in Greece.
The three-year partnership will start with the upcoming 2020/21 season, lasting until the end of 2022/23.
The league, which the operator is already the official sports betting partner of, will be rebranded ‘Super League Interwetten’, with Interwetten to be integrated into the official league logo.
Interwetten’s logo will also feature on the match ball, the league’s official mobile app and in videowall advertising in all stadiums.
The news follows last month’s extended sponsorships with German Bundesliga clubs TSG Hoffenheim and Vfl Wolfsburg, until at least 2023.
Interwetten Speaker of the Board (CEO) Dominik Beier said: “Greece is and remains a very important market for us. Therefore, we want to continue to invest in sports here and expand our position.
“The naming right of the Greek Super League is the most valuable sports partnership that exists in Greece. It is our aim to offer our customers the best product on the market.”
